MOTORCYCLE
RENTALS |
Hiring a motorcycle in Goa is easy, and can be found at most of
the coastal resorts. Though some travelers
wanting to stay for a longer term prefer hiring for a month or
two, you still can hire a bike for a day
or weekend if you wish to travel from say Anjuna to Palolem for a
change. The machines available are Enfield
350 cc, more modern Yamaha 100s and gear-less Kinetic Honda
scooters which are more popular. You need an international license
to ride in Goa. Some places need
your passport and some deposit
while a few just ask the name of the hotel you are staying at. On
a rented bike you can reach the state's
remote beaches and traverse long distances with relative ease. A
word of caution, before driving away
ensure the lights and brakes are in good shape. |
MOTORCYCLE
TAXI |
Goa is probably the only state in India where motorcycles are a licensed
form of taxi. If you are traveling
on
your own, this mode of transport is much cheaper. Licensed motorcycles have a yellow painted front mudguard
and are found in large numbers throughout the State. |
